The story behind the book.

Mr. Twisty had no shortage of teachers tell him to sit still and be quiet. He spent decades figuring out — gig by gig, kid by kid, classroom by classroom — what actually helped the high-energy kid in the front row. Not be different. Not try harder. Move first.

Sit Still. Be Quiet. is the secret it took him a lifetime to learn. Ronald is the dinosaur he wishes he'd had as a kid. The Dinosaur Stomp is the tool he wishes someone had handed him.

Today, Mr. Twisty performs school assemblies, library programs, and the YouTube series Mr. Twisty's Storytime Adventures. He's also the creator of Twisty Town — a wholesome, high-energy world for kids.

Mr. Twisty's signature high-energy moment — kids dancing along.

Raised in a library

Mr. Twisty (Chad Currin) is the son of an elementary school librarian. He grew up in libraries: reading stories, writing stories, reshelving books, and taking in everything a library had to offer. He has loved telling stories ever since.

On stage, his magic illustrates the stories he tells. His books are the stories that come from the rest of his life: the morning walks, the dogs, and the kids he meets along the way.

Magic on the stage. Stories on the page.
